Nakshatra 21 Constellation Uttharashada

Uttharashada – The Elephant Tusk
Uttharashada (26.40 Sagittarius-10.00 Capricorn) stands for the apex of the cosmic energy. It is symbolized by an elephant’s tusk, being governed by Vishwa Deva or Universal Gods, which makes it a permanent nakshatra.
Uttharashada can be translated into several meanings such as the “Latter Invincible One” or the “Latter Unconquered”. It is evident from the import of the meaning that Uttharashada is more focused on the end goal.
Behavioral Characteristics
The asterism concentrates on tradition, elegance, courtesy and authority although Uttharashada is also featured with introspection, positivism and an enduring aura. In fact, the very essence of Uttharashada indicates someone whose opinions can be relied upon. They can be counted on to begin new ventures and enterprises and completing them as well. The energy of Uttharashada is pioneering and industrious and most of its practicality and goal oriented attributes can be found in the zodiac of Capricorn.

Uttharashada as a nakshatra is concerned with order, symmetry and structural facets and this makes them adhere to the essences of respect and conformity. The association with ancestry makes them traditionalists so much so that they ingrain these values in their personal life as well. However, Saturn also prevails in this asterism and this is an influence that can make the Uttharashada natives rigid, remote, and harsh like the elephant’s tusk. Uttharashada is entirely intolerant of something that is not respectable.
The philosophical and spiritual motivations of Uttharashada are geared towards deriving practical solutions. The sexual energy of this nakshatra is denoted by the mongoose, which happens to be one of the few animals that can defeat a snake, and hence Uttharashada is a symbol of everything Ashlesha is not. They are also positioned opposite each other in the 6th, 7th and 8th houses. These 2 nakshatras engage in frank dislike and warfare. Uttharashada hardly tolerates deception, just as the mongoose is cunning.
The mongoose finds clever means to find its way ahead of tense or difficult situations. In fact, the natural energy of Uttharashada makes it take up challenging tasks that are easy for them. The spiritual basis of this constellation is that it uncovers the illusion of the soul. The Uttharashada energy is represented by “apradhrishya shakti” or the power to give permanent victory. The alliances with higher forces of good are represented by the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness.
